Either it’s a child or newborn who needs either an urgent or planned surgery at our hospital undergo a severe checklist so that nothing is missed! Firstly, the child is assessed by a consultant pediatrician ( medical children’s specialist ) to consider suitability & the complication for surgery. After which, our children’s anesthesiologists does his assessment to look at complications for anesthesia, & decides upon the optimal as well as right mode of anesthesia delivery for the child and finally, the child is taken up for surgery.
Each and every newborn child or baby who has completed surgery in our hospital is wisely managed in the individual Intensive Care Unit, until complete recovery. During the child’s stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), we provide a special attention to minimize post-operative pain & discomfort by the suitable use of pain medicines.
